it's made of plastic lol

I don't know what a plug is. It's a Fastrac from SquidCo. My inexperience once again
rears it's ugly head...

That would be a plug or crankbait and ineligable. All the soft plastics with a leadhead are eligable as well as the types with the leadhead within the plastic bodies, scampis, grubs, shad type swimbaits.

OK. I guess that one doesn't count.

What I do like about this contest is that it's forcing me to try different colors, depths
and locations so that I can try for different species.

I'm confident any submissions beyond the 3Bs, halibut or YT, I'm going to need help
identifying. I guess that's when I can really expect some ribbing. At least I'm able to
put between 8 & 20 hours on the water per week and will eventually learn.

WILD CARD

Fish wast caught split shotting AA grubs, and the fish through the bait so i just threw the box in the pic:

(youy can barely see the split shot hook in the corner of the fishes mouth on the right side)

You obviously tried to comply and for your effort we will accept this one,in future submissions make sure the plastic is in the mouth.

I've only gaffed 1 fish in my life. That was this year's 23lb YT. Last year I caught a BSB
around 75lbs. I knew what it was right away. Reading these boards really helps.

Ditto that! I am a Noob to this as well, listening to these boards, talking with others while on the water, getting in time on the yak, and just a touch of common sense, has gone a long long way to make me a more respectful and knowledgeable fisherman. Thanks to all who contribute to my education!

Rockfish, I believe...Can someone tell me what kind? I caught 3 of these this morning.
Each was between 10 and 12 inches.

Looks like a Red Vermillion to me, unless it has a bunch of white spots also that I can't see.

The little white spots would make it a starry.
