This is what I did in my last kayak that didn't have a battery bag and I'll probably do it on my OKT15 I don't think I'll end up using my battery bag because they can't hold a watertight box in them
http://mobile.walmart.com/ip/26674163

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...225261&alt=web

This box with a cable gland and I zip tide it to the scupper post
This is the only pic I had of my last one but the battery is usually on its side with foam to keep it all tight in there hope this helps

Even when I had the OK bag I didn't use it. I had a tupperware bin that fit the battery perfectly, put electrical putty on each of the corners and stuck it to the inside of the Kayak. It never moved, and never got wet. I use to have a waterproof box from walmart that I would use also, but I ended up using that one for a bait tank. Spend $10 at Walmart and get one of their boxes, electrical putty at Home Depot is $2, stick some putty on each of the corners and it won't move once you stick it down.

On my old Prowler I just put it in a dry bag and tucked it between a scupper and the sidewall. Wedged in there it would not move while on the water yet was easy enough to scoot forward, open the hatch and get to if need be

@jimmyz123 I never thought about electrical putty that's a good idea it didn't hurt the kayak or react with it

I have the OK bag on my PA14, I'm very happy with it.
