float tube

I can't get myself to go out in open water in a float tube, I just feel too much like bait. I don't know if this has been posted before but holy cow.

I spent all of last year fishing out of an inflatable pontoon boat, a little higher out of the water but still kicking with fins. I took it out to the Oxnard breakwall almost every weekend for calicos and Bonito, but never any farther out, I would not recommend it.

I know a lot of flyfishermen use floats and pontoons out of Newport Harbor, but they they never go past the wall.
