12V Batteries

Does anyone know of an inexpensive source for 12V sealed batteries?

I have a 1.3 ah one that used to provide enough juice for my old fish finder to last a full day. I got a new fish finder which eats up the battery in just a few hours so I guess I need a larger battery.

The only place I have been able to find these batteries off the shelf is Fry's but I don't like their selection or pricing. I can find them on line but high shipping charges make them a little pricey as well.

Any suggestions?

Bob

I think there is a battery retailer on Rosecrans between Sorts Arena and Midway.

I think it is Batteries Plus. That location isn't on their store locator, but it does show up in a Google search. There is also a store in Escondido.

Cabela's has a sealed 12V battery as well. It is $20 for the battery and $30 for battery and charger.

Cheap Batteries

Here is where I always get my batteries from. They are cheap and work great! I've had mine for a little over 2 years and they are still working strong! $14.25 shipped!

Thanks Wiseguy,

That is the best deal yet. Good price, no sales tax and reasonable shipping plus I don't have to drive 20 miles to pick one up locally.

I just ordered one. Now I need to start looking for a suitable waterproof case as this battery is much larger than the one I have been using and will not fit in my current case.

Thanks again. I just love how this forum seems to always supply the answers to just about any question we may come up with .

Cheap Waterproof Box

This is where I put my batteries in. Got both of them at Walmart, the one with orage was around $4 and the other was $8. Should be able to find it where all the camping stuff is at. These batteries fit well and I keep them snug with cut outs from a pool noodle.

Wiseguy,

What is the white hex shaped thing on the top of the second box? It looks like some kind of plug. If so, where did you get it?
