Got a late start but launched from Kids beach around 9. My roommate and I headed to the barge and they had squid so we got some. Paddled north towards the pier trolling a dropper loop with two live squishies pined on hoping for some butts or a white girl. Neither of us got any action so we decided to head out to the canyon. Got out to 200ft and we both sent down the dropper loop and were fishing tady glow jigs with squid. My roommate hooked up on the glow jig and got dragged a little bit but it cut the line above the jig. I hooked up on my dropper loop about 10minutes later and landed this lingcod. Pretty pumped its my first one, 26 inches and just over 5lbs. Grilled it up for dinner with some rice and asparagus, washed down with some barley pops....delicious. Anyways I snapped some pictures, epic day on the water.
