Beautiful November SD Bay Day

Hey Fishing Friends. Been away with softball and work responsibilities. Each day I longed to be on my yak on the water. Today Fishinmike and I made it out. Got to Kellog beach at 6:30. It was still dark and the temperature was about 54 degrees. No breeze, tide high and the water was cool. Launched and trolled straight from the beach. 20 seconds out I caught my first. Went out to the lower range marker and caught more. Bait fish and Macks running all over. Let the current take me out and I made my way back. Fishinmike worked his favorite spot off of Shelter Island pier. Was a good day. One keeper sized spottie. Green/yellow 4 inch AAT and dark pink AAT worked well. Cast and let it drag the bottom then I reeled slowly and would get good hits from all sizes. Macks hit at mid level. Tried using my $60 Amazon purchased sabiki. The Macks loved it. Would have liked to catch some of smelt since there were thousands boiling all around me.

Final Count:
Fishinmike - 10 spotties, 1 sandie, 1 halibut and a couple macks
Bubbacee7 - 14 spotties, 7 Macks and 1 halibut.

May the fish be kind to you all.
