In your car at the LJ launch? In a shopping store? If you can be a little more specific, it may help you out to let others know where your gear might show up.

A few years back we had 2 rods (worth over $300) stolen out of the back of our truck, while making a pit stop at KFC in Casa De Oro. It won't happen again. I was even taking peeks every few minutes to make sure it was safe. It was not. It takes a dedicated thief only a minute apparently.

Sorry to hear your stuff was stolen. More details would be helpful. I live in Mira Mesa too, I will keep a look out for sure. I think this is the second post recently about Rods/Reels getting stolen in MM.

I'll be on the lookout but not until you give me all the details

Date:
Time:
Location:
Temp:
Wind speed:
Wind direction:
Max wind speed:
Swell intervals:
Your body temp before the incident:
Your body temp after the incident:
How many yards or power pro braid were on your red sx raptor and are you sure it was red and not lava or rosso corsa or possibly scarlet?
How many yards or power pro braid were on your penn spinfisher V LL 4500 and are you sure you bought it at Charkait and not Sharkbait?
How many yards or power pro braid were on your daiwa lexa 100 and was it a lefty or a righty?
Is the Seeker Hercules 30-60lb a convention or spinning rod?
Phenix PSW 760M.............I got nothing for this one
I can't help you on the unknown Phenix rod because you're not sure what rating is or a model number, do you at least know what color it was?

COM-ON PEEPS!!!!

do the details really matter?

Regardless of whether he left his stuff in the back of a truck while he walked into the liquor store to get a 40 or if they broke into his garage while he was away at Comic Con, his stuff was stolen.

That being said, I'll be on the look for you. I already spend a lot of time on Craigslist looking at the Casual Encounters section

Details matter a little bit. Would be nice to know what the criminals did so we can all take preventative measures.

Yes, details are nice. I didn't ask what he had for dinner, just the whereabouts. Is that asking a lot? I guess for some, it is...
