Texas Bull Red

Caught this Red Fish off the coast near Galveston, Texas on Mullet and 20lb line.

It gave me a nice ride for about 10min before I was able to land it. Redfish are not known for there blistering fast runs but they are strong and dont tire easily.

Cant wait to visit LJ and try for some Threshers and YT. anyone fishing the 25th?

Very nice fish!

You've got me more excited for next when I go to Baylor. When I'm not studying, I'll be fishing.

Reds are tasty but I prefer to eat the smaller 20-28 in slot reds. In texas we can only keep and tag one bull over 28in per year. But we can eat 5 slot reds per day. The Bull reds are fun to catch so most release them to breed.

Baylor is a good school!! It is right on i35 so you can go to any of the top spots in under 5hrs.

I will be fishing 25th and 26th at LJ. My buddy has a extra FnD for me to use! I hope the weather holds out!!!
