I've missed too many halibut this way to not fish with trap hooks. Especially when exclusively targeting the flat kind. The setup I tied for my friend last time out hooked a yellowtail in the corner of the mouth with the circle trap. Had the rig not used a trap hook, he would have not caught his fish.

pm me too go fish instagram we will talk its on and cracking up hear are waters are lots lots colder sand pedro port is all warm waters all year round the fish never leave always their year round
I love the hunt 12 pond test line no 15 no 20 no no lite line one hook only then we talk no rat trap if you use this always land the fish never will lose cheating your skills
