12/8 LJ Report

Launched just before light into small surf and 61 degree water. My brother was visiting so I took him with me, when we got to the spot there were about 15 PB and 15 kayaks already out there. Made bait easily (10" greenbacks) while we were yo-yoing the irons. Only heard of one small YT caught on a PB, saw another one almost landed and then got away just before the gaff. We fished there until about 8:00am without success and then headed to my favorite kelp hole. Caught several small calicos there. At least it wasn't a skunk. We heard a loud boom early in the morning, maybe a sonic boom? Anyone know what that was? Dave
