Got out an hour before sunrise. Hit the pier but the lights weren't over the water. Paddled out to the outer kelp forest and made 2 spaniards on a lucky drop to the bottom. Tons of birds but they weren't really diving on anything. They were just kinda circling and roaming the area. I started to see some top water action but it was sporatic and not big. Too big to be loan macs but too small to be YT. Threw the megabait and quickly started to have a blast on a (dare I say it) WFO cuda and bonie bite . Nothing touched my flylined mac, but they loved that shiney piece of metal. I could either cast randomly and get bit maybe 1 of 4 casts or I could cast where one would boil on the surface and it was 100% chance of getting bit.. They weren't YT but they were entertaining.. There was 0 wind and almost 0 swell. H2O temps ranged between high 57 and low 59 degrees. Off the water by 10am.

Ditto that, but didn't venture outside for the macky-cuda fest. Nice meeting you. Nothing happened at the point. I thought a candy bar on the bottom would get it done, but snags were on the menu this morning.

Fished with Johnny Ceviche and Dennis. Maybe they had better luck.

Good seeing you this morning, Art. Same story here. Untouched bait on the bottom. I even paddled over the canopy to see if I could get something to bite. Switched to swimbaits and wacked a couple of cudas. Off the water by 1130.

Nothing happening in the PM for me.

THERE WAS NO BAIT. (?!)

Wind was blowing steady… Lots of paddling.

Fished till dark.

Adi,
Jasmin said that you were sick this morning. Looks like you still got your fish on.

I noticed that too. I barely scratched up 2 spaniards off the bottom. Lucky drop for sure... They didn't get touched anyway.
