Silver Strand

Hey guys so I'm gonna be fishing Coronado area since I work right there on the base. I haven't seen anyone fish the silver strand side much. Has anyone attempted to do so? Any luck? I know people fish the bridge and bay but just curious about the ocean side. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I don't see that many people fish there.. I fish the bay side a lot and paddle over from national city...

Bay side or Ocean side of Silver Strand? Either side is great for Flatties and other types.

I don't advise trying to surf launch from Silver Strand but good luck if you try.

I just looked at the wave forcasts for Coronado beaches.

I have not launched there, but on the basis of this report, this coming Tuesday might be nice:

Thanks for the replies! I saw a someone haul their hobie out on the ocean side when i was going into work.

I have launched from there a few times..no problems but I am a white water kayaker and my design has me sitting low with a spray skirt...make sure to put up or strap down everything...
