Da Thresh Kine. (Non-Kayak Report)

After months & months of hooking & fighting these beautiful sea creatures, I finally got the chance to land one. And man, AINT SHE A BEAUT?!

Thanks to my girl for getting me a new fishing hat. The moment I hooked up, the wind died off, and the sun was beaming down at 91°, so my new hat kept me safe from those powerful sun rays.

Fight time: 40mins.
Rod & Reel setup: CalStar 800MH, Avet MXJ w/30lb mono + 100lb leader.
Bait: Live Sardine.
Species: 7'0" EST.60lbs.
Location: Pacific Ocean.

Ever notice how most fishes have that look in their eye

This look is the 'WTF is going here' look

This one is the 'This is not looking good' look

This is is the 'Things are definitely not looking good' look

This one is the 'WTF are you doing back there' look

Talk about adding insult to injury. That sharks gets hooked and killed and the last thing he sees is that hat. Whoa' thats like a little smily face on the front of the bullet that kills you. Mike

Nice catch. Way to use everything you got... That shark looked up from in the water and thought it was going to the happiest place on earth.... SURPRISE!

I have seen several Threshers of the same size caught in that area. More than once on the pier.
Congrats.
