I had a bit of time yesterday afternoon so I took the AI out of Jst for some sailing/fishing. Headed S/W around the bird reserve island for wide open baby smooth hound sharks and stingrays on the shrimp heads. I was hoping to find some bonefish.
That's a great place to sail the AI. The low island stops the chop but doesn't slow the wind at all. 15 knots of wind over glassy water and you're just flying under sail on the AI. I don't go there earier in the year because I don't like to scare the birds off thier nest every time I sail by. Saw some sea turtles and fought the chop back to the launch. Mike
