Not Much Has Changed

I still phooking love fishing! Haven't been able to get out on the water nearly as much as what I'm used to the past couple months, I have just started college and have been traveling all over the damn country playing tournaments, which sounds like fun, and it is, but it can wear you down after a while.

And yet the one thing I can't stop thinking about is fishing, and how much I miss it. Seriously, I've been going through all my photos on a daily basis, rewatched every damn video GregAndrew has like 10 times each, and have tried to stay in tune with it through this site. I have been fishing through your guy's cool stories, thanks for all the cool reports!

I have been able to get out twice the past couple weeks, and, well, not much has changed It's still stupid good fishing. Three weeks ago I was able to fit a half day in, and was super bummed I couldn't get a whole day of fishing in. Especially when, just minutes in to flylining, I had gotten zipped once and landed and released this little guy

On this day, about an hour in it became clear that while some smaller grade fish were on the surface, I needed to mix things up. So I tied on a yoyo, and quickly was rewarded with this beautiful fish that fell for a piece of iron

While fighting this fish, I stupidly left my flyline out, but 5 minutes in to the fight, had a double going! Landed the yoyo fish only to find I hooked a cuda on the flyline, but it was by far the biggest cuda I have seen. Thought it was a firecracker the whole time.

Long story short, from here I ran out of daylight, and didn't really have any more opportunities. Then, just a week ago, I got out again, and it was even more stupid wide open! This was the day Bert and Josh put on a clinic for everyone else, and I got to join in on some of the fun later in the day. I caught one, then, while bleeding the fish, hooked up again. I had maybe 30 seconds break between fish, about as good as it gets. Not too many days where you are bummed you only caught two!

Still missing it as I type.. and can't wait for winter break. Going to be fishing all day for a couple weeks in a row Go get em guys!

"F**k the rats, I'll get em with the iron." I like it. Nice work.
