Congrats Chris, that thing is a beast. I am jealous.

Btw, I meter them all the time on slow drifts and/or when I have the downrigger down. They look just like any other fish mark, they just usually start by coming up off the bottom. It is a real pisser when you know they are there and they don't bite, or don't bite solid enough to release the clip though. Especially when they follow your bait for up to 10 minutes.

I encountered a trophy hali this week, which i lost, and am still bashing myself for it. I can picture how excited you were. You did a great job landing that trophy! You should post a pic of the jaws when you get them out, I can't imagine how big they are!
