kayak fishing at night: land big fish but be SAFE!

SOLAS tape is a bonus safety item to apply to your kayak, paddle or PFD if you want to fish at night or do it regularly.

Unlike regular reflective tape, SOLAS reflects directly back towards the light source which in kayak fishing's case is typically a powerboater’s spotlight.

The stuff's expensive but worth it. It's also the material commercial drivers and fishermen are required by the DOT to have on their trucks and survival suits.

And hey, as most everyone knows, night time is often the best time to fish for large fish! SOLAS tape is just one more way to fish safer.
