Stevo,
Not only an epic fish, but you got it in an area thats not usually much of a SB spot. Congrats! Quote:
If I would'a called you it would be to remind you that you haven't caught a decent fish all year. It is kind'a strangely exciting though... Keith www.localcrew.tv www.fishingkayaks.net |

Dam did you get your hook back ? Looks like it was way deep.
My avatar is from the same area. 25# Black Sea Bass that was let go. That's a nice fish and it's great that you let it go. Very cool. Last edited by Hook 1; 12-19-2007 at 05:44 PM. |

Hooks came out easy. Main 1/0 was right in the corner of her mouth, the trap had snagged her right behind her pectoral fin.
When I first saw the bass shape, I thought I had a small black, but then freaked out a little when I figured out it was a sandbass. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I am convinced that 90% of my best fish are dumb luck; I just feel lucky to have caught her. I wish I had taken a few more pics for size reference. I have the tape shots but I wish I could have got a pic of me holding her just for my own sake. Either way, that was a great early Christmas present for me |
