I got a late start this morning around 7 o'clock, paddled out to the end of the point and made bait in about 15 minutes. Ran a 3/0 hook flyline with a 1 ounce weight and a small live green back. I was about 60 to 80 feet deep with a slow troll for about 15 minutes and got a hit, like a freight train. 20lbs yellowtail!!!

I was out this morning also. Had 1 batray and 3 "T" hookups, not my cup of tea anymore. Lots of googans this morning, I can't figure out what happened to respect and fishing etiquette. I'll leave it at that.

I think the newest theory is that the shortest distance to "the Spot" is connecting the lines between kayaks. Then they stop when they see one with fish on or on deck. Of course they have to troll by as they pass, because the fish under your kayak might bite.

Googan, such a good word, it rarely gets used now. I think I will use it more often.
