I believe tacking up wind is what you're talking about. Remember, people sailed the globe and I bet the wind was not always at their backs.

True, but you don't really want the wind at your bank. Best sailing is with wind blowing perpendicular into the boat, at a 90° angle, but I get your point.

Have any of you or know somebody that has gotten busted for sailing or motoring around with a trolling motor on their kayak?

wiredantz, Did they tag on that new Quagga Mussel fee of $35 when you registered it to able to use it in FW?

I have a sail and trolling motor for my PA12 but hesitant to make use of them because of the reg. BS

Yes, I paid for that ripoff sticker. Better to be safe then to have the state harassing you.
