Hobie Outback Rudder Question

Is there a clever way I can lock the rudder control for my Hobie Outback in the neutral position?

I was practicing surf launches and landings today. I was exploring paddles only and paddles/peddles together.

If I'm leg pumping and paddling for control into the waves, it would be nice if my rudder stayed straight. If my hand is not on the lever, it gets knocked around.

How can I hold it in the center without my hand on the lever?

My rudder was acting a bit wobbly when swell hit it and it turned out that the steering cables needed tightening. Now it stays put much better without input.

I sometimes paddle and peddle into the surf but I keep the rudder up because it prevents you from turning quickly with the paddle if you are really getting hammered off track by waves.
