La Salina (Baja)

Has anyone ever fished off La Salina? I'm taking a trip there on Memorial Day weekend and I'm curious if anyone has some advice. Trying to decide between hauling down the kayak vs. hiring one of the guides out of the marina.

Any info. is appreciated!

Theres good inshore spots w kelp below the marina close enough for kayaking. Shallow water rockfish, bass, halibut and theres a lot of yellows off N Baja now plus seabass wouldnt be unheard of. I think iceman has at least one tr on here from there.

The area south of La Salina can be good. I buddy of mine has fished there many times and raves about it. Last I was there, 4 months ago the marina mouth was badly silted in and waves were breaking all the way from jetty to jetty. During low tide or big swells the entrance might not be passable. Let us know how it goes. Mike
