Monday 5/3 report

Got out to La Jolla first light, made easy bait just passed reserve, had one low and one high. Drifted around for awhile hugging the kelp line from 65 feet to 90 feet around the corner.
Felt very fishy with bait every where, birds, dogs working it as well as kayakers and PB's.

Nothing going on, saw one guy on his way with a white around 9, said he got it on the outside, congrats dude.

That is it,
Water Temp was around 59 then started to warm up on the way in, steady 60 +.
Started to blow a bit but never really picked up, still got off the water around 1130, maybe a mistake.

Still a beautifull day on the water, might head out tomorrow.

Anyone going Tuesday???????

Thanks for the report. It looked very fishy. I landed at 1015. Made a bunch of candy greenies, and set up shop. I was a little south of were that cbass was taken. The guy sounded stoked... The water was DIRTY green on the inside with maybe 5-10ft vis. It cleared up outside with 12-15ft vis. Good luck!

I will be out there tomorrow 5/4 to fish the incoming tide and if no luck then fish until dark
was out there last tuesday and saw yellow tail crashing the surface chasing bait fish about 20 yards from me, first time I have seen them do this, wished i had a iron on but both my lines were in the water with macks

I thought that was you Dennis. Very true on the water clarity, was better outside from what I could tell.
Afternoon session might be in order for tomorrow if it is going to be as nice weather wise.
Good luck all.

Pete,
It's a picture that my son took when he was 3yrs old. It's something I call "Tank on a Rug"..

Okay back to fishing... Who caught something today?

I did ok. Hooked 2, farmed one on the iron, caught one on bait. 19 lbs on the scale. Gorgeous day on the water.

and sorry, but I'm a smiler when I catch fish.
