 Seriously though I only fish the LJ shores down south.Someone else should know.

I've launched out of Pescado beach in OB. The waves there can get a bit large though.

The area of McCall & San Antonio just off of Rosecrans in Pt Loma has a good beach launch. It'll save you 10-15 minutes of paddling from Shelter's ramp. Parking can be a challenge but usually okay.
