That is a great idea. Maybe we could all hit our local stores and do it at the same time. Kinda like a flashmob....but with purpose!

Shocked!!! When someone orders a pale ale at the Belly-Up, I have always given them Stone because it's local. NEVER again. They'll get Sierra from now on. Stone is our best selling beer, but with the help of the other fishermen bartenders there, we'll put a stop to that.

I see on their website that they claim to be stopping 160 metric tons of CO2 from going to the atmosphere annually. Uhhm, Stone, that's not a pollutant, plants love it, we all make it, it was 5 times higher than now during the dinosaur age, and it has no correlation to global warming. Zero. Zilch.

Stone Brewery seems to have an affinity for junk science environmentalist science. That's too bad, because there are soooo many good beers to choose from. Stone, "You're Not Worthy". Time to go beer shopping...
Nailed it! Well struck, sir.
I'm digging the Costco idea too. Ima doit.
Everywhere you shop. Make a simple, informative flyer, not rude or profane, explaining the facts.
From now on. NO MORE STONE. Shame too, that's good beer.

wow.

this could really hurt surfrider and stone if it gets enough momentum. they do a benefit for surfrider that raises BIG money for them.

Fishermen drink alot of beer.

The head of HR at stone is a family friend, i'll show her this thread and let her know what's up

everyone who is FB literate, hit em up...They have a few pages i see..
Let em know Anglers dont appreciate it when you sleep with the enemy..
I am personally responsible for bringing several solid accounts to Stone Brewing in various restaurants throughout San Diego & California.
I will be contacting all my reps and doing my very best to replace all Stone taps with Ballast Point or similar, as a result of them having any affiliation with The Surfrider Phonynation.

This pisses me off! Just sent my letter.

Subject: Unsatisfied Customer

Sad to hear you're company put forward an endorsement of the MLPA. You guys of all people who stand for sustainability, have your own farm to grow local produce then you support closing inshore fishing to local recreation fisherman trying to catch a meal for our families and enjoy our local waters. Fisherman who have supported your company from the start and helped you grow to what you are today. You put your support to larger vessels pillaging our ocean and sending people in the masses to Costco, Kmart, Target and other grocery chains for frozen or non fresh fish. You did nothing for water quality or sustainability for our ocean. What you did do was lose me as a customer, You Are Not Worthy. Think I was just at your southpark location filling up a overpriced growler. Not no more!!

Regards,

X stone drinker AKA Joe Beck!

You must let the company know that you are no longer their customer.

If you do not not notify them, it is pretty meaningless.

Its like you spitting in my food, if I don't know about it, it accomplished nothing.

Anytime you stop using a service or purchasing a product you must let the business know it.

anyone know where you can pick up Ballast Point in the South Orange County area? All this talk is making me thirsty. Never tried it.

Ballast is the best beer out there. I have stopped buying any of the other brands. I had one Yellowtail beer and that was all I needed. A beer that is great and supports the sport I love so much, how can you go wrong with that.
