Battle of the Bays update...

Del Mar was very very good to the Battle of the Bays Raffle Prizes...

To register for the tournaments go to www.battleofthebays.com.

Berkley/Penn Fishing has donated a Fathom Reel FTH 15 LDZ and 9-25yd. spools of ProSpec Fluorocarbon and one spool of 500yds of 50lbs. ProSpec Braid.

CalStar rods has donated 2 rods...a 196-7C and a WC-9700

Phenix Rods has donated 2 rods…an ABYSX PSX-809 and a M1 Inshore Carbon
SMX-77-MH

Diawa has donated a Sealine SLN 66 MHF.

Hook-Up Baits has donated 2 gift packs each with an assortment of their killer lures.

Todd Burton dropped off his beautiful Sandbass art work at Del Mar.

We also picked up 108 packs of Big Hammer 4” Red Calico swim baits.

CDFW gave us some more Fish ID books.

Some Hats and t-shirts were donated by Rapalla and some of their lures are being shipped.

We also hooked up with Cody from Rinse Kit and he is considering donating some product.

I set up this inflatable i11s for the display and it's a pretty cool little boat...I think it will be my next Team Hobie boat.
REMEMBER this kayak is a raffle prize at each event...

And just for a recap I included this photo of the rest of the loot...!

Rules...

Live bait is allowed...as are float tubes, canoes, and SUPs...
We are trying to make this a tournament for all anglers not just the Pros...That's why the Grand Prize trip to Cedros Island with Cedros Kayak Fishing is a drawing for just participating and the two i11s Hobie kayaks are the top raffle prizes...you don't have to catch the biggest fish to win the Grand Prize or even catch a single fish...and the Hobies are prizes in the raffle so bring some extra cash for raffle tickets.
REMEMBER...this is a fundraiser for the Coastal Conservation Association of California CCA CAL. and we want to have fun at these events. Yani from Fisherman's Belly will be cooking up some yummy fish tacos at the Mission Bay event, we've got a keg of beer for "beer tasting", and we'll have a lot of raffle prizes too as you can see from all the loot I've gathered.
CCA CAL will be sponsoring a Captain's meeting on April 29th at Dana Landing.

Here is an excerpt from the rules which you can find at the iAngler site...

Looking forward to the event.

However; I think only non-motorized vessels should be allowed.

That means only manmade power to move the boat.
