A quick trip to Crowley Lake

Last weekend Tim (tagyak), me and a couple of non kayakers made our way up to the Sierras to catch a few trout.

We fished Crowley Lake and only managed a few little rainbows on Saturday along with 4 perch which were a nice appetizer around the campfire later that night.

The lake is still full of algae, couple more weeks and it should clear up. The lake level is the highest I have ever seen. Many access points or structure you may know may be underwater.

We fished the Owens by Browns that night for steady action on 12-14 inchers.

Drive home. Short and sweet.

We'll be going back up there in October to get the big boys.

Tagyak, Ericko and I will surely be going up to the Sierras in October, possibly into Nov. The bite is usually pretty nice, and the place is almost empty.

Looking at October 8,9,10 or Nov11, 12, 13

Hey stinky, glad to hear you guys had a fun trip. Man I love it up there. Bummer you had to camp with such a crowd. Hopefully the algae will be gone and the weather will be perfect on your return trip.
