That's cool never seen that before...Iv'e been using my iphone with a bluetooth speaker lately, the speaker isn't waterproof but I just put it in a ziplock bag, it seems to work ok. I can control the volume and the music all from my phone without even touching the speaker. You could even listen to sirius satellite radio!!!

I have that rugged one. I got it at the surf expo two weeks ago. I've used it in the garage only so far. It's loud enough tho. It's water proof but, you have to open the case to work your phone/Ipod. It's like a pelican box w/speakers.

Please Reconsider...

Not trying to take away your ability to listen to tunes while kayak fishing, but please consider the fact that the rest of us may not want to listen to YOUR music while out there a quarter of a mile away from you. There are always headphones...

I usually take my MP3 player with me (with headphones), and it helps pass the time for a long paddle/peddle. On the other hand, there is some zen quality about fishing in silence, with just the sounds that nature provides.

As an added bonus, the vibrations bouncing off your kayak boombox probably won't do much for your pelagic fishing...

I enjoy the "zen" by the time I get out to the water and or spot, I would just as soon listen to the quiet, stare at the meter and figure out my next move...either that or laugh at what Matt has to say on the radio...lol

id get the radio over headphones. headphones take away your hearing and you cant or can barely hear aproaching boats, any movement on the water and most important, your clicker!

i have a small set of speakers i was going to use on the yak that just plug into the iPod, but i may get something that runs off of batteries instead.

I agree with this, but 60% of the its just me and myself or we have a group of 3-4 kayakers, of course i am always considerate of others...

Why not just get a bluetooth headset? Some do allow the user to listen to music.. That way you can store your phone in a safe place n still be able to make calls/listen to music.

I'm looking for one.. still searching..

Don't put to much thought into it.....just get something that floats and is waterproof. Anything that you connect to your cell phone will shorten your battery life dramatically more so if you decide to connect to Pandora
