ill stand by the turners californian calico specials any day i own 2 of em the 9' 15-40 and the 8' i think its 15-30 forgot owned em for 7 years now cant see the labeling anymore rod leashes wore it away on the 9 is a sealine 20 sl the graphite spool edition and the 8 i have the quantum energy pt hands down my favorite 2 rods that i own

Yea I like the Turners californian's because they offer lifetime warrenty, so when your rod breaks you can grab a new one. The rods can also take a load as demo'd by the staff.

I would recommend that you skip on the hummingbird and get a Lowerance Elite color series. I have the Elite4 with color fishfinder/chartplotter and love it. My buddy has a Elite 5 that is really nice and comes with the bigger screen. They are User friendly and able to take the abuse of yakin tha ocean. Just my 2 cents.

I'm from San Diego, so i ride at Palomar Mt. the pic above was taken at palomar. What do you ride?
