G'day from Brisbane Australia

Hi to all,

I thought that after so long viewing from afar that I may as well sign up and become a member of your forum.

My name is James (and Im a kayakaholic ) I have been fishing from kayaks/canoes for over 20 years. I love catching Australian Bass, Bream, Barramundi and Mangrove Jacks from kayaks. My latest kayak (still on order and should arrive in country soon) will be a Malibu kayaks X-Factor. I have owned in the past Perception Swings, Minnows, Feel Free kayaks, Pelican canoes and a few custome made fiber galss indian canoes.

I hope that I can share with you all some pictures and reports as time goes on, and get to know a few more of you guys around the world. Feel free to pop in on our little kayak forum ( www.kayakfishingstuff.com.au) to share some of your pictures and reports as I am sure everyone over here will enjoy the variety.

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to sign up, and I look forward to talking to you all soon.

welcome, James!

I've never caught a barrimundi, but I have enjoyed them grilled, sauteed, and baked! I'd love to know what they look like "on the hoof" and yakside. :-)

Looking forward to your reports.

Cheers,

Brent

Shawn, the site administrator, is also the Malibu reseller in Western Australia. If you look at the Fishyak website you'll see a couple of pictures of Team OEX/Malibu origin. I think Malibu Kayaks provided some of the graphics. Shawn is doing a great job of building up Malibu's market share in Australia. The fishing-specific kayak market in Oz has been dominated by Perception, OK and Hobie, but Malibu is now making some strong inroads.

It's a small kayak world after all......
