Peacock

Not in a kayak, but I got a chance to fish for peacock bass while in Miami. Fun experience, beautiful fish, and a great fight.

Nice one. Definitely on my bucket list.
Florida is one of my favorite places to fish although I mostly fish saltwater on the Gulf side. I'll be visiting my folks on the west coast during the holidays so I'll be fishing the beach and probably the mangroves by kayak. Hopefully the red tide will be gone. Thanks for the post.
Cheers, Steve

They fight about like a big spotted bass IMO. They bulldog and side run.
