Kids seat - hobie outback

I'm planning on building a kids seat out of PVC for the back of my hobie outback; something to use on bays and lakes to get them hooked.

Think of it like the gunners seat on the T-47 airspeeder from Empire Strikes Back (the battle on the ice planet)

Kids are 3 and 5 years old. Anyone tried this? Am I crazy to think this is gonna work?

I'ved carried my son in the back of an outback, but did not make a seat. I've seen guys fabricate a PVC version of a vantage seat. Raised off the plastic to stay dry. Looked comfy too.

Maybe someone has plans they will share?

Costco has Stadium Seats on sale right now. May be a good alternative

https://www.costco.com/Cascade-Mount...100393190.html

Online is a 2-pack for $30. I think they have singles in the warehouse for $15

Oh man, those stadium seats are really close to my design. I'd be surprised if they last but a season but with two that might cover a good three years. Tempting....thanks!

I've been using the Costco stadium seat for 2-3 years and shows no sign of wear. It's really nice because it's heavy and has rubber bottom so it doesn't move at all. Wash down after each use and it should last awhile.

Made it happen with PVC. Test run complete. Next step is fishing on a bay. Will report back.

I have never tried this, but the hobie outback definitely sounds interesting. Let us know how it turns out in the end, because I’m very curious. I bought out child car seat from an online shop https://ooyoo.co.uk/ that sells fashionable baby articles, such as clothes and accessories. For us, it was very important that the car seat has a high-tech style and is very modern, because that is what we go for in general. We appreciate minimalism and we try to integrate it in our daily lives as much as possible. The car seat that we got has multiple functions, as it is a transformable piece. We got a very nice deal for it.
