Fishfinder location

Question of the day. Installing a new fishfinder gps unit. I now have it installed in the center sail mount on my hobie but this is hard to get to. What side of your kayak have you installed yours and why?

you'll get a million and one suggestions ... I preferred mine on the left rail of my OUTBACK at arms length ... cuz I like farming my fish on the right side ... good luck

I was going to post the exact same question yesterday. I went to OEX to get a Ram diamond shape mount but they were out, I'll have to order it. I tend to go between full gps, full sonar screen, split screen and zoom options on my unit, having it on the sail mount makes it hard to get to. I never stopped to think about which side I prefer to bring the fish up until I read Oscars post, guess I'll be mounting it on my left side.

I have mine on the left .... Best to have it on the opposite
Side of entry. I jump in on the right.... I also split my paddle
In half (I have a outback ) to keep things tighter and more organized.
Best....
