Details:
I was fishing on my kayak
I was using a rod, a reel with spectra with a top shot of mono and it had a hook, sinker and a live bait
The bait was in the water
the fish ate the bait and hooked itself
I gaffed it and had it weighed

I only pulled it down after I noticed it wasn't above 40lbs

As the saying goes... better than nothing. What have you got to report?

lol, I agree, why do you post a pic of a fish in a kayak fishing report with no information? I mean you don’t have to tell the exact spot but at least tell general area- city, harbor and maybe what you caught it on. Good catch bro, pat yourself on the back 😂

The one thing that I can tell you about the location where this fish was caught is that I’ve never fished the area before.

Right? I appreciate the post.

But the whole point of reports to provide other anglers with some useful information. Not show off.

Congrats on the fish. It's a monster.
