EXACTLY what I was thinking!
Indeed, California is not the same beautiful place it was when I was growing up. I have heard many good things about Austin. Good luck with your exciting new adventures. I hope Austin doesn't follow the direction California has taken in the next few years. I'm afraid that urban Texas has become part of a battleground state that can flip into a congested socialist political nanny-state the same way California did. Please come back to BWE sometimes and tell us what the fishing is like in Texas :-)
