La Jolla Friday 5/22

I was able to get Friday off work, so I'm launching at LJ Shores early a.m. to try my luck. I'll either be the guy in the orange Wilderness Tapron 120 or the guy on the beach trying to recover his gear.
I wouldn't want to slow anyone down, but if you're going to be out there flag me down and say hi if you see me.

Rain necessarily isn't a bad thing. Plenty of big fish have been caught in the rain.

I didn't see that in my forecast, so thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on it.
Some drizzle and light rain doesn't bother me, but if it's blown out it's not worth dealing with it.

Surfline & NOAAA/NWS, are predicting winds
MSW is not

Yeah, seems its looking a bit worse than it was earlier this week. Now it's showing 40% chance of rain Friday morning. It wasn't like that when I requested the day off. Whatever. I'll play it by ear. I'll be around this weekend, so I'm sure I'll be able to get on the water one way or another.

I hate to waste a day off, but I have plenty to do around the house also.

weather is looking better. Wind looks like its picking up in the afternoon. If anything get a nice morning fish session. I'll most likely be out there with a buddy or two. Outback and revo!

I came down to the Shores this morning to have look and possibly have a go at it, but it's too windy- at least for me it is. Mostly clear skies and small surf, but as a first time beach launcher the strong onshore wind is more than I want to deal with. Maybe tomorrow.

We looked at it from another launch point. Choppy as hell around the corner. Going back to sleep
