BIG BUTT,MISSING CAT(8/16/08)late report

Hello everybody,Been lurking in here for a while,
Wanted to give a report and a warning..........................

Took the yak to ESCO for the first trip at that spot.
Unloaded the gear, parked the truck on PCH,loaded the yak
and made a successful launch threw the surf
Geared up all my rigs and threw the swimmies for a couple
of barely keeper calico's(released),key chain style sculpin.
Then decided to go big and throw a 5" green BH w/ a squid
strip in some holes in the the kelp.
Then I feel the tap tap tap,rod goes bendo
After a short battle and and assistance from my buddy,
My PB hali is in the the yak.It was 35" and 15#(not released )
That was the highlight of the day....................

............The LOWPOINT is the MISSING CAT
Made a safe return to the beach, took all our gear up the stairs,
go to my truck and start her up and it sound like a nascar
or the loudest Harley you've ever heard!!!!!!
Scared the s#!t outta me,in shock I looked around the truck thinking i was in the wrong vehicle or some thing
Then the light bulb went off,SOMEONE TOTALLY CUTOFF MY CAT CONVERTER.In broad daylight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you Toyota tundra owner be aware I read about this on line
and yesterday was my turn

Congratulations on the halibut. Sucks about the catalytic converter. Some A-hole did that to my sister-in-law's van, then came back the next night and did the same to her husband's truck. Makes you wish you could catch them in the act and stick the gaff in 'em.

Nice flattie!

I feel for you. Same thing happend to my 4Runner. At least they unbolted mine so did not have to pay the extra $$ for welding, etc. Still over $300 for a used catalytic converter. Over $800 new! And with the 18V reciprocal saws I heard that they can be down and up in less than 20 seconds! Sell them for the platinum to recyclers.
