Anyone fishing Malibu

It looks as the swell would be a foot high this weekend. If anyone fishing in Malibu and wants some company let me know.. I want to hit the water on saturday maybe sunday or maybe both days.. get some on the water time before cold weather.

Thinking of Esco right by the kelp. As I understand it if we stay south of the pier we are o.k fishing the area. Can't go north of the pier thanks to our friends the MLPA. Unless someone would like to share a better place to hit the water..

I fishes Leo Carrillo last weekend but got there late and the wind got me pretty fast. The rest of the gas had handfulls of bass and one 30 pound halibut. But I'm always looking for new places to try. Only had my kayak just over a month now.

Went fishing yesterday got on the water around 9am. Seen lots of scuba guys out there.. They were out to take an advanced class.. Ask one of them if they seen anything. Answer was not much very few fish. worked the kelp and there was not even bait fish. a few times I seen some fish chase the plastic all the way to the surface but no bites. The only bite I had was a butt my first one too. Lost him after I got him on a kayak. Tried to see if he was the the right size. Was one inch over the min. He played dead on me the all time then all of a sudden goes nuts and before I could get a good hold he jumps off the kayak... My only bite the all day and my first butt and I lost him ..... Still it was fun to bring my first one on the kayak. It was a great day on the water, Even that I got a little sea sick..

hooked up with bent rod

we had a good time . fishing was tough. wind really got nasty around noon. we saw lots of bait and put some in the tank . we scratched out four fish between the 2 of us. tough day of fishing due to weather, but it was good to hood up with someone. hope to see you soon . like in LJ .
