Question crushed head

Went out this AM --mostly barracuda bites for me. Didn't see much action otherwise. Party boats, at least those in closer and north, were slow when I was there. Is a crushed head a yellowtail or barracuda bite?

Had to be out of the apartment all day yesterday so I used my free pass on the kayak swamper.. aka. Dolphin. Am crew came in with 19 yellows for 40 anglers. I was on the PM.. Yellows were boiling but the dogs had them well away from the boat. 7 yellows and all you could handle barries and bones. Pretty good grade yellows though. Smallest went 20 lbs and there were 3 that went at least 30 lbs. Most went on the iron. I assume that's because they could reach out and touch em with the iron. Too many rent rodders and spinning rods on the boat to get your bait out far enough. As soon as I found the right bait, toss it out a bit, and let it run I would see someone 4 dudes down cast over my line (and everyone in between). Now I remember why I hate cattle boats.....
