San Quintin

Well, we have been without water in the village for about a week now. A pipeline rupture has affected the water delivery to Bahia Asuncion and many other of the villages on the Vizcaino peninsula. While I have a 1100 liter "pila" or storage tank at my place, I suspect that will be running out in the next couple days. So what do you do during a water shortage? Go halibut fishing of course. I'll be headed up to San Quintin on Tuesday or Wednesday for a few days of flattie fishing in the bay. Not the perfect weather and tide window that I was looking for, but at least I'll have water for a shower after a day of fishing.

I'd like to say I feel sorry for your lack of water, and I am sure it is an inconvenience, but when the solution is to go fishing........
Like Daemon said, we are living the dream though your posts, and wishing our only "issue" was a lack of fresh water. Keep lining it, and remember to post stories for us poor suckers to the north.

I could adjust. Just jump in the ocean once every few days to bathe and I don't hardly need drinking water as long as i can get beer. Being able to fishing almost any time you want and for free, now that sounds like paradise to me! Good luck rossman hope you get your water back on soon. Keep posting, often.

I think I will have phone service on the water there so I was thinking of doing some on the water status reports.
