If you really want to get faster and lighter go with the revo 13. If you want to just get lighter, get an outback. The PA has a surpisingly efficient hull design and a 14 is faster than an outback.

I had a few buddies that I fished with back in AZ that floated on PA14's and those suckers were really quick for their size.

MY 14 moves just as fast in not faster than my Outback, I don't know why but it does.

All else being equal, a longer boat is faster. My 17' touring kayak easily out distances my 12' touring kayak.

YakDout get your engineer buddy at Hobie to design a Revo 15. Just a little wider than the Revo 16 would be perfect speed/stable yak.

Since we're making requests for new features, I'd like to request Hobie to come up with an Outback or PA with a mini-MHD (MagnetoHydroDynamic) propulsion drive like the Red October... it'll be super quiet and able to go for miles!
