New PB YT La Jolla slug 2/21/15 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Was a slow day out on the water. Making bait was a bust so I tossed the mint & white yoyo in and instantly hooked up on a blind strike around 1:00pm. Went for a 15-20 minute slay ride. Small dog came by for a look and didn't want anything to do with the 38lb YT luckily. Got it to the kayak and gave it straight gaff shot to the face.

Hmmm...38#s huh...? Nice fish, I hope you have a tape shot and a scale shot for WCW....cause that would definitely put you in the lead.

Sweet! Even got the freedive suit on just in case he had to jump in and do battle with the pinche peros!

Nice fish, bigger than I have caught this year. There's lead in the belly if its 38#.

Did you dive/then fish or did you just wear a dive suit?

Happy for you that you scored a YT and thanks for the report but I really think that you need to buy a new scale.

Ha I had the long johns on to keep me warm in the am. New to the forum did know I was supposed to tape and weight for proof. Thanks for the support appreciate it.

Saw it at the launch. Guessed 35, 38 seems legit. Had some girth.

No camera tricks used in the photo

Also saw this fish at the launch. I told him it had to be 35 lbs. He was a fatty!
