La Jolla 9/30/07 PMs

Forgot fish-finder.

...and GPS.

Launched at 3:00 PM to flat seas, some wind.

Abundant Spanish among lobster pots right outside of reserve.

1/2 day boat, 2 PBers and I had LJ for ourselves.

Decide to hit the NW corner and back.

On my way there, this guy ate my Spanish.

Kept going South...

Then I thought I had another one.

But it was this pretty thing.

Almost dinner.

The wind died, it was beautiful.

Then I got 3 young seals escorts.

Sunset was awesome.

And the dogs were a major pain.

I walked 3 of them almost till the reserve line…

They dumped me when they ate all my Spanish.

Loved the journey.

Reminded me to use my camera more often.

And brought back home the kill to feed the young.

Made my day.

I don't know what was up yesterday, but LJ is still a game.

Adi, after yesterday's dismal showing at least you proved there are some fish we mere mortals can still catch out there. Good show.
