First WSB 2007

Went late, got a couple of smelts started trolling west side of north kelp. Water was good lots of life. Go tommrrow if possible. This one took me all through the kelp on 15 pound string. I waited it out through the hang ups what a lucky day. I finnaly got it up and made a swim by gill grab,no gaff or net. Good luck Joe 5/8 Monday

15lb line in the kelp, no gaff and you still landed it! Good job. Did you get a weight or length?

Great fish. I'll echo everyone elses comments about 15# line in the kelp . So how messed up are your hands from the gill grab?

Im guessing 30lb or more it was 6 inches longer than one of those long boat coolers.
