LJ 3/4 am pm

Got out around 9:00 to dying winds.
Went to the inside for live bait but
could not get any to bite. This was
how the whole day went with bait.
At least it was flat, no wind and sunny.
Threw the iron most of the day for
no results. Changed to a Mc Big Hammer
swim bait in mac color, buttered with hot
sauce. Caught a couple of callicos and
cudas. At 2:00 as I was taking a cuda
off, The wind and current came up fast.
by the time I got the fish back in the water
I had drifted 3/4s of a mile. I head upstream
as fast as I can when my swimbait goes off.
Feels like something good. I fight it for a while
when I bump into a bouy. The fish get around
the rope but somehow I get it off. I get it to collor
and see its a nice yellow . Then its gone
Heart broke and 3/4 of a mile down stream,
I head up stream as fast as I can draging
the swim bait. This time I'm holding the rod
when it hit. I threw it into gear and set the hook.
This time I got it landed, but it only turned out to be
a 10 lb. rat. My first Yellow tail on a swim bait.

Wind died out after 4:00. Big boils and lots of birds.
Back home by 5:00
This is Josh, says he threw into a boil with a
surface iron.

3/5 9:15 flat no wind

The ocean is like a lake right now. You can launch
from just about anywhere right now.
