I will be registering a Tandem Island with the DMV in the near future. In our case we will show a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin - stating Dealer information, vessel information ( model name, model year, hull ID No., length weight, hull material. We will also have an invoice stating who the vessel was sold to. We will also fill out MSO #297762 First Assignment.

I feel that I won't get if right the first time to the DMV. Will give details when its complete.

DMV office?

"show a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin - stating Dealer information, vessel information ( model name, model year, hull ID No., length weight, hull material. We will also have an invoice stating who the vessel was sold to."

Having the price on the invoice is important, as that is what they base your fee on.

Good info...but if your a AAA member it's much easier and quicker to do it at their offices rather than the DMV office.

Human powered, no state registration required.

Motor (electric) or engine (combustion), gotta register.

Over 8' and a sail, gotta register.
