amazing, thanks for sharing! I'm heading up there to Silver Lake this coming Sunday-Wed. I don't have a campsite reserved; will I have any luck with first-come-first-served?

It was “Dog eat Dog” when it came to getting a campsite...
People were hitting me up for my site a few days ago and inquiring about when I was leaving...
So...I would get a reserved campsite at Oh Ridge as a back up just in case you aren’t lucky finding a walk up site at Silver...
Last night’s sunset was spectacular!!!

Trap setup

Hi Jim,
Heading up to silver lake with my 8 year old son and we have a couple crawfish palomar traps that we haven't used yet. Could you provide a recommendation on float size and rope? I am only accustomed to hoop netting on the great ocean with much larger gear.

Also was looking at the regulations for number of traps is it 1 per person or could we use 3 between us. Greatly appreciate your guidance.

Thanks, Jim... Was able to snatch two sites at Oh Ridge, but would have to break up the nights into two campsites... Thanks for the tip.
