Where to fish the San Diego Area

Hello guys,

I'm new to this board and am fairly new to the Kayak fishing. Live in Santa Barabra Co. and have Been fishing all my life from NorCal all the way down into Mexico. Pretty savvy and know where to fish up this way but have no clue where to down south. I do want to put a lot of time in down there on the weekends this spring/summer/fall when Im not chasing the pelagics offshore so if you guys can fill me in on where to target the Yellows and Cbass in my yak I would greatly appreciate all the info. Not asking for the secret spot but lead me into the right places to start off.

Thanks in advance for your valuable info!

Daniel

Welcome. Cant go wrong in La Jolla kelp. Warbaits with uni butter is my go to for calicos in the kelp. I personally like the waxwings for yellows and have been successful, but thats just me. You cant go wrong with a set of irons. Goodluck

Just go out from LJ shores and follow the fleet. No secret spots, just time on the water works best. Good Luck.
