I fished yesterday w/ my friend in our double peddle kayak.

We launched around 4:45 and caught bait near the kelp line in 60ft of water.

We dropped baits in the water around 6:15 and trolled south to where the kelp bed sticks out into deeper water. Along the way I casted iron for one tiny cuda and my friend Aaron caught a few rockfish on swimbaits. Once there, we started heading north again along the submerged kelp in around 100 ft of water. When the New Seaforth arrived, we fished the edge of their chumslick from a curtious distance. My friend caught a rat yellow and a few more rockfish on swimbaits while I caught as many cuda as I didn't want on the kicker iron.
The rest of the day consisted of a few more cuda.

We hooked up on a larger yellow Wednesday on the bass gear, but it took us into the kelp so we lost it.

The conditions have been excellent, but there just haven't been that been yellows around...
