Deep sharks in Japan

Some video from yesterday's trip catching sharks in 1300+ feet on 20 lb braid.

Yes, good to eat but let them go.

I don't even know if a mother could love them. She'd probably eat them given the chance!

That second shark looks like goblin shark. Thats a loooong drop n wind for sharks. Were you targeting some thing else? Mike

Deep rockfish, oilfish, whatever comes up. Fishing that deep never know what critter you are going to pull up.
